Highlighting agents’ value to travelers is ASTA’s top priority, CEO says

ASTA has rolled out three new initiatives with the aim of promoting travel agents as the best resource for people looking to travel. The new programs include a new social media strategy, a revamped website landing page and a new tagline: “The global advocates for travel. Go with the pros.” ASTA President and CEO Zane Kerby says the initiatives reflect the group’s mission as advocates for agents with consumers. “We’ve got to help agents win and retain business. We’ve got to show them that we’re fighting on their behalf — not just in Congress but in building consumer awareness of agents,” Kerby said.
